Frameworks come and go in marketing, but HubSpot's launch of "The Loop" at Inbound 2026 is worth attention because it tries to answer the question almost every CMO is asking right now: how do we structure our work when AI handles a meaningful share of it?
The four stages
- Express: the human work — define your brand's taste, tone and point of view. This is the input that everything else inherits.
- Tailor: AI personalizes that voice into context-specific messages for each segment, channel and moment.
- Amplify: distribute the tailored content across owned, earned and paid channels at scale.
- Evolve: measure outcomes, predict next-best-actions and feed learning back into Express — closing the loop.
Why it matters
The Loop is essentially HubSpot's argument that the old funnel (Awareness → Consideration → Decision) does not describe how AI-driven marketing actually works. The Loop reframes marketing as a continuous adaptation cycle, with humans owning judgement (Express, Evolve) and AI owning execution (Tailor, Amplify).
The VietMarkAI take: you don't need to adopt HubSpot's framework — you do need some framework. Without one, AI tools accumulate as point solutions, and the team has no shared mental model of how the work fits together.
