1. Separation: Partner profile vs. Collaboration
One of the most important characteristics of the Partners module is the clear separation between two concepts:
- Partner profile (
doi_tac_customer) — Represents the partner organization/company. A single record holds general information such as legal entity, region, and functional category. - Collaboration (
doi_tac_hoat_dong) — A specific partnership engagement. One partner can have multiple parallel collaborations.
Benefit: you don't have to recreate company information every time you start a new engagement with the same partner.
2. Create a new partner profile
- Open the Partners module → Partner profiles menu → Create.
- Fill in the organization details: company name, tax code (if any), address, primary contact.
- Pick the right Partner category (see section 3).
- Set the main region of operation.
- Save.
3. Partner categories
| Category | Characteristics |
|---|---|
| Hardware partner | Supplies hardware integrated into solutions (servers, switches, IoT devices…) |
| Business partner | Distributes or refers business opportunities (resellers, channel partners) |
| Security partner | Provides or distributes security solutions |
| To be expanded | The system can be extended with new categories as needs evolve |
4. Access control
Partner profiles support flexible access:
- Internal only — visible only to internal team members.
- Open to portal collaborators — partner contacts can log into the portal and view their own collaborations.
